We started our herd in 2014 with 3 Saanen does due to my sons allergy to cows milk. We fell in love with them instantly and new that this is what our farm was missing. Since then our children have gotten old enough to show them starting with 4-H classes. We attended our first ADGA open show in 2018 in Sundance, WY. Since then we have traveled to shows in SD, WY, and MN. We have meet so many incredible people in the dairy goat world and grateful for all our relationships. We have widened our horizons to several more breeds in addition to Saanens including Alpine, Oberhasli, Lamancha, Recorded Grades, and some grade stock. We have a very diverse farm and knew we wanted to keep our herd diverse as well. In addition to homesteading and showing them they also play a big role in improving our soil health on our farm. They graze cover crops, around pond areas to keep undesired plants under control and around our home place. This year we are adding 200 more acres to their pasture rotations. We have a Llama (aka Chewy) and 2 guard dogs (Emry & Sadie) to keep them safe while they are away from the main barns.
If you are ever interested in seeing what we have for sale please don't hesitate to ask. We also offer discounts to 4-H youth to help them get started with their herds.
